A series consisting of two mechanical images:
One measuring device for metal powders for X-rays from the 1920s, built in Berlin.
The second from the late 19th century was the engine for the Grate Eastern ship, England.
In these works, the mechanical appearance of objects floating in darkness goes beyond the past and beyond time. They seem to float in space and it is not clear whether they belong to the 1960’s or later in the twentieth century or to our time in the twenty-first century. These objects and their presence on the surface of the paper raise the critical question of space, time, scale and the ability to grasp and contain a unit of measurement or alternatively lack thereof.
